Description
I was commissioned to paint this beautiful home in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The young couple sent me a few winter photos to use as reference for a winter watercolor painting of their former home in northern United States after they had moved to a new home in the warm southern climate of Shreveport Louisiana. What a wonderful reminder of their memories up north. Send art cards of your home in winter beauty as personal Christmas greeting cards.
In the photo that I used as reference for this painting, both front doors were obscured by the magnificent large trees. Using the other photos as reference, I was able to choose a different perspective point of view that would place the trees between the doors and windows yet maintain the general atmosphere and lighting with shadows of the first photo.
