Impressive carving, Hanne, that your father did! The name "Werner" is Germanic in origin, which generally means "defending warrior or guard"! This carving, also, reminds me of some of the Dutch and Scandinavian design elements or influences, which greatly influenced the Arts and Crafts Movement in the Late 19th and 20th centuries! This is so well done! Love it! Fave! L/F!
