Description
This magnificent one-of-a-kind traditional cookie mold was designed and hand-carved by my dad, Otto Werner (1923-1991). The relief carving is a large solid piece with a very smooth surface and well aged patina; an expertly molded metal cookie cutter has been skillfully integrated into the carving for ease of removal of the dough. The horse, driver, female occupant of a curtain-clad royal stage coach are all exquisitely detailed. The original carving has been sold but I hope you will agree, this wonderful work of art would make a classic art print or canvas print to decorate a traditional or modern kitchen as part of a collection or by itself.
Hand-carved cookie molds are used for shaping Spelulatiuscookies, springerle cookies and Aachener Printen.

Hi Hanne~ A very attractive and finely carved cookie mold. It is just one of the many superbly carved cookie molds created by your Father, Otto Werner. I also very much like the beautifully painted Pennsylvania Dutch Hex designs that were done by your Father. You must be very happy and proud to have this splendid photograph collection of your Father's fine work! F&L
