Artist's Description
The basic black background and deep blue outfit of this young girl emphasizes her red hair, puts the focus on her angelic face. This portrait of Haley was commissioned by her very proud and loving grandparents, Bob and Annis.
This is a hand-painted portrait on Arches 300 lb. watercolor paper (11" x 15") done by using a client-supplied photo as reference as if the child were sitting in my studio. Born in Aachen, Germany, I grew up in Ontario, Canada, where I still live with my husband (the love of my life) and family, from which comes the inspiration for much of my work.
