Description
Shady Rest is a watercolor still life painting of a century old hand water pump that has been overgrown with wildflowers. In the shade of a grove of massive Manitoba Maples, this was once the perfect spot for a refreshing drink of cold well water and a rest from chores. Now overgrown with Shasta daisies, purple cone flowers and buttercups, this garden still life scene is still a favorite shade spot to rest from garden chores. Even though the rusty garden pump no longer functions, it is still a nostalgic reminder of happy memories.
