Description
My Oktoberfest Beer Garden still life composition is a celebration of gemutlichkeit - the German word that encompasses comfort, companionship, friendship, relaxation and happiness. Prost!
Based on the traditions of the original Oktoberfest harvest festival in Munich, Germany, the many German-Canadian clubs and fest halls of the twin cities of Kitchener and Waterloo in Ontario Canada erect huge tents annually in October to accommodate the thousands of visitors that come to celebrate Oktoberfest.
My still life beer garden composition includes three vintage original German beer steins with pewter lids and a Tyrolerhut (hat from Tyrol region in Germany) with pins collected from various German cities and a couple of K-W Oktoberfest pins.
